The Ultimate Challenge

Astonishingly, and contrary to all religious beliefs, the first verses of the Quran that were revealed to Prophet Muhammad while he was contemplating the creation of Man and the universe, urged him to read, then read and seek knowledge. God, through Angel Gabriel, told him to seek the answers in “the pen” (Science) and even gave him a hint as to how and where to start (The creation of man from leeches).

“Read in the name of your Lord Who created. Created man from leeches. Read! And your Lord is Most Bountiful. He Who taught by the pen. Taught man that which he knew not.”, {Al Alaq: 1-5}

 Could the “leeches” mentioned in the verse refer to sperm and egg or the first multi-cellular creature?

However, the Quran does not stop here. The wealth of verses about the creation of man and cosmos are overwhelming. Only God can claim in a book that he is the one who created the universe including the sun, earth, moon, planets and stars, and he mentions that in many verses in the Quran.

The ultimate challenge in history is the one presented in the Quran. The challenge is to create a living creature and place the scientific evidence in a book.

“Say, 'If mankind and the unseens came together to produce the like of this Quran, they could never produce the like of it, even if they backed up one another'.”, {Al Israa:88}

“O people! A parable is presented, so listen to it: Those you invoke besides God will never create a fly, even if they banded together for that purpose. And if the fly steals anything from them, they cannot recover it from it. Weak are the pursuer and the pursued!”, {Al Hajj:73}

“Say, 'Have you considered those you worship instead of God? Show me which portion of the earth they have created. Or do they own a share of the heavens? Bring me a scripture prior to this one, or some trace of knowledge, if you are truthful'.”, {Ahkaf:4}

These challenging verses indicate that there is a clear link between the Scripture and the science of creation. Whoever can produce such a book can also create a living being. The evidence for the creation of man is in the Scripture. God has already created man and provided him with the scientific evidence in the Scripture. He challenged anyone to do the same. God would have not laid down this challenge if he has not already provided the scientific evidence in his own book.

{And say, 'Thanks to God; He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not heedless of what you do.'.}, (Al Naml:93)

However, religious scriptures must be subjected to scientific verification while certain conditions must be taken in consideration first, otherwise misinterpretation could lead to wrong answers. If God has inserted his scientific code in these scriptures the code will surely be misinterpreted or mistranslated by those who did not understand the scientific facts and still attempted to translate the text from the original language to other languages. An important criterion is to find the Holy Scriptures that are still intact in their original language.

So the grand scheme by the creator to lead humanity into reaching the ultimate conclusion through the conversion of science and religion. As the greatest play or movie writer who leads his audience to a climax, the creator has done that many times throughout history and now he is about to uncover the answer to the greatest mystery of all, the secret to the basic foundations of life, the divine code. Finally humanity is able to comprehend its existence on this earth, its purpose and its ultimate destiny.

But the implications and consequences of revealing the divine code are tremendous. Humanity as a whole will gain a common understanding of its purpose in this life. All ethnic and cultural differences will dissolve and a new world will emerge which is based on values, morals and understanding with the world peace and prosperity as the final frontier.

The moral message conveyed by religion is now backed up by scientific fact as will be seen in the next chapters.
